This isn't ideal, though, as a lot happens in the regular episodes between each movie. Weave in end.If you really want to whizz through One Piece for a taste of what it's like, you could also focus solely on the 15 films that have been released to date. If you don't know that stitch, you can work as follows:ġ: with grey, ch 9, sc in 2nd ch and each ch across (8)įinish off, sew around bottom piece of left antler. It really doesnt matter exactly how you do this piece, I did a tunisian simple stitch, 3 sts wide and 10 rows tall, ending with a row of slip st, and sewed it around the bottom piece of the left antler. Position the antler so that the top piece is touching the top edge of the hat (there is no exact precise angle, just position it how you like it), and then tack the antler in place to the top edge of the hat. Pull tight, so that the antler will want to curve upward a bit. Do not weave in end yet.Īfter you have the antler sewn in place to the hat, weave the end back up through the bottom piece of the antler and up through to the top. Then sew the finished antlers to the side of the hat, about three rows up from the bottom, where the brim begins. (it should curve toward the hat when you go to sew it on to the hat). Hold this piece up the the rest of the antlers and sew it on at an angle where the piece will naturally curve inward. You should notice it will naturally want to curve a certain way, given the natural twist of even rnds. Sew in place.īottom piece (the piece that connects to the hat)ġ: with brown and leaving a long end to start (this will be used to sew to the antlers), ch 8, join with slip st to form a ring. Sew to first piece.ģ-24: sc in each sc around (22 even rnds)įinish off, sew to middle piece so that starting end lines up evenly with the ends of the first two pieces, and finishing end is right about in the middle of the second piece. Weave end down through entire length of piece and out starting end, pull a little tight so that the piece will curve and hold it's shape, tack in place and weave in end.ģ-37: sc in each sc around (35 even rnds)įinish off, do same as with first piece, holding middle piece underneath first piece, so that it curves evenly under the first piece.

(it helps to pin it in place, but since i had no pins, I used some stick-on hem tape to hold in in place while I sewed it)ģ-27: sc in each sc around (25 even rnds)įinish off, leaving a long end. Make a large X from white felt, sew to front of hat. Hat (work with two strands of yarn held together)ġ2: loosely slip st in each sc around (this will make the hat come straight down for the sides).ġ3-26: sc in each st around (14 even rnds)Ģ7: ch 1, turn, sc in each st around (it is necessary to do this row turned the other way so the brim will stick out properly). Brown yarn (I used Red Heart 'Warm Brown')

Since I don't have a lot of free time on my hands for commissions anymore because I work A LOT, it is OKAY if you want to commission someone else to make this from my pattern. Okay, so I decided to write up the pattern for this.

Like, everyone is a good character on this show, I love it!Īnd while I'm at it, thanks for over 15,000 pageviews everyone! I would say Chopper's my favorite character so far, but really, I love everyone! Zoro was my favorite at first, but then Usopp is really cool too, and then I was able to really appreciate Sanji's arc, working in a foodservice job myself. I made the X from felt and hand-stitched it to the front of the hat. I just wove a string up through them to help curve them upward a bit, and tacked them to the top edge of the hat, so the hat holds them up and they appear to stand up on their own. The antlers actually don't have any wire or any kind of support in them. I doubled the yarn on the main part of the hat to make it stiffer so it stands up better. I only just started watching the show a while ago though, and just got finished with the Alabasta arc, (I know, I'm WAAAAY behind!) so no spoilers!Īnyway, I don't guess I have much to say about this one. You don't have to be a One Piece fan to appreciate this quality of work! I personally think this is one of the coolest things I have ever made, and I'm super proud of how it turned out.
